Hi, I'm Jessie. I'm a stylist.
Why does the hair dryer blow and whoosh?
A hair dryer blows air to help make your hair dry. A fan inside makes a sound as it works. The moving air helps the water on your hair go away much faster.
The air from the dryer might feel warm on your head and neck. The stylist can use different settings to change how warm the air is. Sometimes they hold the dryer farther from your head. That makes the air feel less warm on your hair.
The sound from the dryer might feel loud in your ears.
There are other ways to dry hair besides using a dryer. A stylist can wrap your hair in a towel to soak up the water. Your hair can also dry all by itself in the air.
