Hello, my name is Ulises Arciniega. I'm a massage therapist.
What happens at a first massage session?
A first massage session often starts with a health form and a talk with the massage therapist. The therapist may ask about injuries, health conditions and areas to focus on.
The therapist usually leaves the room while you undress to your comfort level and lie down under a sheet. Only the area being worked on is uncovered. You can ask for more or less pressure, or ask to stop, at any point. Afterward, the therapist steps out while you dress.
