Hi, I'm Cody. I'm a barber.
Why do some haircut tools buzz?
The stylist who cuts your hair uses a few different tools. Scissors help make small snips to cut your hair one piece at a time. Electric clippers are another tool that helps cut hair very short.
When a stylist uses scissors, you might hear a quiet snipping sound. The stylist combs a piece of your hair and then snips the ends.
Electric clippers make a buzzing noise when they are turned on. The stylist can show you the clippers before they start your haircut. When they touch your neck, they might feel like they are vibrating or tickling.
Some of the little hairs might feel tickly on your skin.
Thanks for watching!
