Hi, I'm Cody. I'm a barber.
How can I explain the haircut I want?
Before a haircut, you talk about what you would like. Your grown-up and the stylist who cuts your hair talk with you about your ideas. You can say what you think and what you want.
You can use your hands to show where you want your hair to end. A picture from a book or phone can also show an idea you have. You might say, "I like how this part looks." Your grown-up is there to help you find the words.
The stylist looks at the picture and also at your hair. They see how your hair moves and grows. The stylist knows if it is curly, wavy, or straight.
After you all talk, the stylist tells you what will happen next. When everyone is ready, the haircut can begin.
Thanks for watching!
