Hi, I'm Rachel, a nutritionist.
Why do they weigh me?
At a WIC visit, a helper often weighs young kids. Your weight, along with your height, shows how your body is growing from visit to visit.
First, you might take off your shoes and your jacket. Then you step onto a scale. You can stand very still in the middle while the number settles. The helper reads the number and records it.
Later, the helper might show your grown-up a growth chart. They might talk about foods for growing kids too.
Thanks for watching!
