Hello, my name is Sheena Rennie. I'm a tire technician.
What gets checked during a tire inspection?
A tire inspection is a close look at each tire's tread, sidewalls and air pressure. A technician often measures how deep the tread is with a small gauge.
Uneven wear can point to an alignment, balance or pressure problem. The technician also looks for cracks, bulges, nails or cuts. Each tire's pressure is compared with the carmaker's label, often on the driver's door frame. Some shops check the spare too.
Call the office if you have questions about your visit or your service. This is general information, not personal instructions. Your technician can explain what applies to your own tires.
Thanks for watching.
