Hi, I'm Eamon, a nurse.
Why am I here instead of school?
Sick-child care is for kids who are a little sick and need to miss school. Schools often ask sick kids to stay home, so germs do not spread. If your grown-up has work, you might spend the day here instead.
The rooms are often calm and quiet. A nurse or caregiver checks on you and might take your temperature. You can tell them how your body feels. Then they help you rest, read, color or play a quiet game.
At pick-up, a grown-up comes to take you home.
Thanks for watching!
