Hello, my name is Sota. I'm an animal keeper.
Will the goat nibble my fingers?
Goats at a petting zoo often nibble, because they explore with their lips and mouths. A goat might nibble your fingers, your sleeve or a feed cup. Goats have no top front teeth, just a hard, flat pad.
If you feed a goat, follow the staff's rules and keep your fingers away from its mouth. If the zoo gives you a feed cup, you can hold it out. The goat might give the cup a little tug.
When you are done, you wash your hands at a hand-washing station.
