What does an oil change include?
An oil change drains the old engine oil, usually replaces the oil filter and refills the engine with fresh oil. The shop usually looks up the grade and amount of oil listed for that engine.
After the new oil goes in, a technician checks the level. Many shops also check other fluids, tire pressure, wiper blades and air filters. Some put a sticker on the windshield or reset the dashboard reminder for the next service.
