Hello, my name is Dr. Tatla. I'm a neurologist.
What happens at a neurology visit?
A neurology visit often begins with a detailed talk about symptoms, such as headaches, seizures, numbness or weakness, and when they started. The neurologist also asks about health history, family history and current medicines.
A neurological exam follows. It may check strength, reflexes, balance, coordination, sensation, eye movements and memory. Tests such as an MRI, an EEG or blood work might be ordered. The visit usually ends with a plan for next steps.
Call the office if you have questions about your visit or your care. This is general information, not personal instructions. Your care team can tell you what applies to you.
Thanks for watching.
