Hello, my name is Wilfredo Sarmiento. I'm a guest services lead.
How do arrival and check-in work?
Arriving at a museum usually starts at the main entrance, where some museums check bags at a security point. Visitors then often stop at the admissions or information desk to buy tickets or show ones bought ahead.
Many museums use timed tickets with a set entry time, especially for popular special exhibitions. At free museums, the desk may simply welcome visitors and hand out a map. Large bags, backpacks and coats often go to a coat check or lockers before visitors enter the galleries.
Call the office if you have questions about your visit or your service. This is general information, not personal instructions. Your museum's front desk can explain how arrival works there.
Thanks for watching.
