Hello, my name is Vinicius Schmitt. I'm a theater manager.
Are sensory-friendly screenings offered?
A sensory-friendly screening is a movie showing set up for people who find a regular showing too loud or too dark. The lights usually stay partly on and the sound is turned down. Audience members are usually welcome to move around, talk, sing or step out for a break.
Some of these showings also skip the previews. Many theater chains hold them on a regular schedule, often for family films. Other theaters may hold them now and then, or not at all.
Call the theater if you have questions about your visit. This is general information, not personal instructions. Your theater can tell you which of its showings are sensory-friendly.
Thanks for watching.
