Hello, my name is Arlindo Couceiro. I'm a loan officer.
How does preapproval work?
Preapproval is a lender's early review of how much it may lend you for a home. The lender usually checks your credit and asks for proof of income and savings, like pay stubs and bank statements.
If the review goes well, the lender issues a preapproval letter with an estimated loan amount. Sellers often want to see this letter with an offer. Final approval comes later, usually after an appraisal of the home and a full review of your finances.
Call the office if you have questions about your visit or your service. This is general information, not personal instructions. Your loan officer can explain what applies to your own loan.
Thanks for watching.
