Hello, my name is Meron Alemu. I'm a care coordinator.
What is the difference between home health and home care?
Home health and home care both bring help into the home, but the help differs. Home health is skilled medical care, usually ordered by a doctor or another clinician. A nurse or therapist might visit to check blood pressure, care for a wound or work on strength and balance.
Home care can mean more than one thing, but it often means help with daily life rather than medical treatment. An aide might help with bathing, dressing, meals, light housekeeping, errands or company. Some agencies offer both kinds of help.
Call the office if you have questions about your visit or your service. This is general information, not personal instructions. Your care team can tell you what applies to you.
Thanks for watching.
