Hello, my name is Prashant Bhosale. I'm a department lead.
Can you copy keys, including car fobs?
Key copying at a hardware store usually happens at a key counter or a self-service key machine. Your key is matched to a blank of the same shape, and a machine traces or scans the original to cut the copy.
Most house and padlock keys are copied this way. Many car keys hold a chip that must be programmed to the car, and push-to-start fobs often need a dealer or locksmith. Some stores can copy certain chip keys and fobs, though not every model.
Call the office if you have questions about your visit or your service. This is general information, not personal instructions. Your store's staff can explain what applies to your own keys.
Thanks for watching.
