Hello, my name is Leonardo Bertoldi. I'm a flight instructor.
What happens on a discovery flight?
A discovery flight is an introductory lesson with a flight instructor, usually in a small training airplane. It often starts with a ground briefing on the controls and the route.
Before takeoff, the instructor often walks around the airplane with you to inspect it. Once airborne, you may get the controls for gentle turns and climbs. Dual controls let the instructor take over at any point. Afterward, a debrief often covers the flight and the steps toward a pilot certificate.
Call the school if you have questions about your visit or your lessons. This is general information, not personal instructions. Your instructor can explain what applies to your own training.
Thanks for watching.
