Hello, my name is Yvonne Tolliver. I'm a financial advisor.
What happens at a first meeting?
A first meeting with a financial advisor is mostly a talk about your goals, such as retiring or buying a home. The advisor often asks about your income, savings, debts and investments, and how you feel about risk.
The advisor usually explains the work they do and how they get paid. Many hand you a written summary of fees and possible conflicts of interest. Advice on what to do often comes at a later meeting, after the advisor looks over your statements.
Call the office if you have questions about your visit or your service. This is general information, not personal instructions. Your advisor can explain what applies to your own finances.
Thanks for watching.
