Hello, my name is Analyn Nisperos. I'm a service coordinator.
What does an evaluation look like?
An early intervention evaluation looks at how a baby or toddler is developing. It often happens at home or another familiar place. Much of it looks like play. Specialists, such as a speech or physical therapist, watch how your child moves, plays, communicates and learns.
Parents and caregivers answer questions about daily routines, health and milestones. Afterward, the results are explained. When a child qualifies, the family and the specialists write a plan together.
Call the clinic if you have questions about your visit or your care. This is general information, not personal instructions. Your early intervention team can explain what applies to your child.
Thanks for watching.
