Hello, my name is Wade Reinholt. I'm a tailor.
How does an alterations fitting work, and what should we bring?
An alterations fitting is a visit where a tailor sees how a garment fits on you and marks the changes. You put the garment on, often in a fitting room with a mirror.
The tailor pins or chalks the hem, waist or sleeves and may ask how you like the fit. Many tailors ask you to bring the shoes and undergarments you plan to wear, since both affect the fit. A ticket often lists the work, the price and a pickup date.
Call the office if you have questions about your visit or your service. This is general information, not personal instructions. Your tailor can explain what applies to your own garment.
Thanks for watching.
