Who is on the burn and trauma team?

A burn and trauma team brings many specialists together for people with serious burns or injuries. Surgeons trained in burns or trauma lead the medical plan, and nurses give care around the clock.

Physical and occupational therapists help with movement, stretching and daily tasks. Dietitians plan the extra nutrition that healing needs, and respiratory therapists may help with breathing. Social workers or case managers support families and help plan for going home.
