Transcript

Hello, my name is Filipa. I'm a braider.

Why do braids take so long?

Braids take time because the stylist makes each one by hand. First, the stylist parts the hair into small sections. Then each section gets its own braid, and smaller braids mean more of them.

Some styles add extra hair, which the stylist braids in piece by piece. Your grown-up can ask the stylist about breaks and snacks. You can tell the stylist if a braid feels too tight.

The stylist keeps going until every braid is done. At the end, you can look at your new braids.

Thanks for watching!
