Hello, my name is Heba Soliman. I'm a personal banker.
What do I need to open an account?
Opening a bank account starts with showing who you are. Most banks ask for a photo ID issued by a government, such as a driver's license or passport.
You also give your date of birth, home address and an identification number, often a Social Security number. Some banks ask for a second ID or proof of address, and many accounts need a first deposit. Many banks let you open an account at a branch or online.
Call the office if you have questions about your visit or your service. This is general information, not personal instructions. Your banker can explain what applies to your own account.
Thanks for watching.
