Hello, my name is Dr. Boparai. I'm an allergist.
What happens at an allergy doctor visit?
An allergy doctor helps find out what makes you sneeze, itch or get a rash. The doctor asks questions and listens to your breathing.
Sometimes the visit includes a skin test. Someone puts drops of things like pollen on your arm or back. You can hold very still. Then a small tool presses each drop into the top of your skin. A spot might get itchy and bumpy, like a bug bite.
Later, someone checks the spots and wipes them off. Then the doctor talks with your grown-up about what the spots show.
Thanks for watching!
