Hello, my name is Kourosh Rahimi. I'm a program director.

What happens during a typical day?

An adult day program usually begins the day with arrivals, greetings and a light breakfast or snack. Many people arrive by van or with family, and staff help each person settle in.

Group activities often follow, such as gentle exercise, music, games, crafts and conversation. Lunch is usually served, and there is often quiet time to rest. Many programs also help with personal care, and some have a nurse on site. Pick-up is often in the afternoon.
